Abstract (EN)
Net working capital is important for companies to continue their operating cycle and pay their short-term debts. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of fluctuations in exchange rates on the net working capital of companies. The data to be used in this context were obtained from the financial statements of the companies published through the Public Disclosure Platform, and the percentage change data obtained from the CPI-based real effective exchange rate index published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. The period of the study is 2010Q2-2021Q4, and the percentage changes of the net working capital data calculated with the data obtained from the financial statements of 35 companies in the BIST via KAP were used. As a method, Dumitrescu-Hurlin panel Granger causality test was applied.
