Dramatic framing and it's representation on television

In this study, framing methods used in the formal and contextual creation of television narratives are determined. Based on the dramatic frames that emerged as a result of the examination of television programs framed using dramatic narrative elements, a dramatic framing analysis was introduced as an analysis method. In the study, first, the development of framing at the conceptual and theoretical level is discussed. Here, academic literature on the sociological and psychological context of framing is compiled. In the context of framing in mass media, theoretical approaches on framing media content are gathered together and other cognitive, psychological and sociological factors that are effective in framing are added. The framing elements are explained on the television and the program type, format and the dramatic structure that constitutes the narrative and the representations are mentioned. In the last part, a theoretical reason for dramatic framing analysis is created and dramatic frames are explained. After the dramatic framing approach put forward, Survivor 2019 Turkey - Greece television program, which was selected as an example of research studies, has been analyzed with the dramatic framing method. The study was completed by evaluating the research example in terms of the determined dramatic frames and the meanings and dramatic framing created with them in individual, social and ideological contexts.
