Abstract (EN)

In this study, the chronic effects of permethrin (PER: 5, 6, 7, 8 ppm) and bifenthrin (BIF: 4, 5, 6, 7 ppm) which are prethroit insecticides, dimethoate (DIM: 0,5; 1; 1,5; 2 ppm) which is organophosphate insecticides and chlorfenson (CHF: 2,5; 5; 7,5; 10 ppm) which is organochlorine insecticides have been investigated on the maximum and average life spans of Drosophila melanogaster. This purpose, the different concentrations of the insecticides to the application groups were applied and occuring changes of life spans were compared with the distilled water control group and DMSO negative control group which was solvent of insecticides. The female and male individuals of Oregon wild and vestigial mutant strains of D. melanogaster were chronically exposed to the insecticides in these applicateion groups. The average life span according to highest application groups of the insecticides were found as 48,48± 2,20 for the control group, 8,27± 1,99 for PER, 15,67± 2,31 for BIF, 15,36± 2,14 for CHF and 8,36± 1,89 for DIM in the wild type males, 49,15± 2,31 for the control group, 22,74± 2,07 for PER, 18,39± 2,20 for BIF, 18,70± 2,00 for CHF and 9,39± 1,71 days for DIM in the wild type females. for vestigial mutant strains, these values were calculated as respectively 21,09±2,14; 13,15±2,19; 14,82±2,05;6,64±1,88 days in the ♂♂ and 22,56±1,98; 18,52±2,06; 16,79±1,93;8,03±1,69 days in the ♀♀ for PER, BIF, CHF and DIM. The control group values of the mutant strain are 45,68±1,67 days in the ♂♂ and 45,85±1,71 days in the ♀♀. When the control and applicaion groups of both wild and mutant strains were statistically compared to each other in terms of average life span, the differences were found significant in p<0,05 level. In result of the applications, negative correlation by parallel to the increasing concentration of insecticides was also detected in both the female and male populations for shortening the life span of the adult individuals. The negative corelation values were calculated as R= -0,572; -0,583; -0,615; -0,719 in ♀♀ and R= -0,707; -0,597; -0,618; -0,694 in ♂♂ for wild type; R= -0,547; -0,600; -0,647; -0,729 in ♀♀ and R= -0,545; -0,633; -0,638; -0,705 in ♂♂ for vestigial type for PER, BIF, CHF and DIM, respectively.
