In outdoor lighting, determination of armature mounting locations and distributions

In this study, in outdoor lighting applications, preferred lighting level, lighting efficiency, color and graphical quality of light, selection of optimum lighting method, luminaire and lamp distribution are the determining factors for the design and calculations. The lighting level and color quality are decided by evaluating the environment to be illuminated in terms of social, cultural and economic aspects. The increase in lighting level and color quality will increase the initial installation cost of the lighting infrastructure to be installed, as well as the operating cost. In the next stage, the application is carried out with the lighting method, luminaire/lamp type and luminaire/lamp distribution that are appropriate in terms of engineering and architecture, in the decided norms. In the study carried out here; A study was carried out on the frequency of luminaire positioning in lighting applications carried out in road, square, park and stadium-style outdoor environments. Here, taking into account the reference 100 luminaires and reference areas; lighting levels are compared from the same height, but at different suspension point distributions. The number of suspension points where armature distributions are realized is increasing from 1 to 100, and their effects on lighting distributions are discussed in detail. The computer-aided design environment discussed is calculated on the basis that the armatures are suspended on the upper plane for exterior lighting. In the design calculations, the outermost points in the calculation network are not taken into account because they are not in the reference area and therefore not affect the calculation results negatively. By making use of the lighting averages and lighting distribution coefficients in the calculation results obtained, it is aimed to facilitate the preferences of the end users in order to provide lighting at the desired number of suspension points.
