Abstract (EN)
During the study of economic growth models, processes such as technology entegration, the supply of existing resources and providing mediate assets in endogenous growth models can be managed through imports. This supports the claim that there is a link between imports and economic growth. Purpose: Lack of savings, lack of capital, and similar reasons for products which are necessary for economic development in developing countries lead to insufficient imports. This situation affects the goals of economic development and requires political change. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of foreign trade on economic growth, and what kind of changes have been effective in Turkey's practice after 2001 and 2001. Also, the study is important in terms of determining the link between economic growth, imports and exports to Turkey after 2001 and 2001. In the first part of the study; Economic growth and its determinants, growth models, exports and imports are examined in detail. In the second part; Considering the development of Turkey's exports and imports in 2001 and the following years, the growth process and growth data for the Turkish economy are determined and included in our study. Method: Türkiye's Gross Domestic Product and Foreign Trade data in 2001 and after, are harvested from collected date by international economical organizations. Moreover tested with necessary econometric pratices. The data are investigated to they are constant or not. After that, data are analyzed to see an interception or not in long or short term. Conclusion: This study examines the link between foreign trade and economic growth and reveals that there is a link between exports and economic growth. In order to increase the impact of Turkish exports on economic development, increase the welfare of the country and generate employment, there is a need for the export of products with high added value. The econometric part of the study analyzes the relationship between Turkey's imports and exports and GDP (growth). It is so important to include foreign trade in economic development. As the economy grows, it is clearly seen that per capita income is also growing
