Abstract (EN)
With the signing of the Armistice of Mudros on 30 October 1918, the process of occupation of Anatolia by the Entente States began. With the arrival of Mustafa Kemal Pasha to Samsun on May 19, 1919, the Turkish army and the Turkish people started to work to save Anatolia from enemy occupation. The Great Offensive, which started on August 26, 1922, was the final phase of the Turkish War of Independence. The Turkish army achieved a great success against the Greeks in the Dumlupınar Commander-in-Chief Battle held on 30 August 1922. As a result of the follow-up operation that took place after this success, the Greeks were expelled from Anatolia. In this study, the process leading to the Battle of Dumlupınar Commander-in-Chief and the military, social, political and cultural effects of the events that took place after the battle, archive documents, the minutes of the TBMM, were evaluated in the light of the press sources and memories of the period.
