Abstract (EN)
In this study, which was carried out in order to reveal the fruit potential of Bursa from the past to the present, the production areas, quantities and yields related to the fruit growing in Bursa were compiled and evaluated. Over the years, the production areas in the city have decreased in Table Seeded Grape and Golden Apple. The production amount of Table Seedless Grape, Fresh Fig, Pear, Cherry, Strawberry, Chestnut and Table Olive has increased in direct proportion to the production areas. In the same years, the production of Peach has increased inversely with the production area. In the study, a questionnaire was conducted with the producers of the Producing Farmers Cooperative in Bursa province İnegöl district and 100 farmers participated in the survey. All farmers are family businesses that do not derive their income only from agriculture. However, 40% of the farmers' land is less than 100 da, and 70% of them grow peaches, cherries, plums, pears, strawberries on their own lands+ rent lands. Although the businesses of 30% of the producers say that they grew compared to the previous years, they stated that the next generations will not be farmers. Again, the farmers stated that it is an advantage to have rich production diversity in Bursa, which is close to the big markets, and that the producers' unions are needed for the fruit growing to develop further in the province.
