Abstract (EN)

Cruise tourism has become one of the popular holiday options with its growth and development over the years, and has become one of the important income items of the country's economies. As the demand for the cruise industry increased, companies in the industry began to add new features to cruise ships. Destinations and cruise ports are another important factor affecting the choice in the cruise industry. Countries have started to make new port projects for the development of this industry, whose contribution to the economy is obvious with both foreign exchange inflow and employment opportunities. Undoubtedly, one of the most striking of these new port projects is the Galataport Cruise Port Project. Istanbul was a city that attracted tourists with its history, historical texture, cultural structure and natural beauties. With Galataport, which will be the new cruise port, it is highly likely that this beautiful city will become more attractive. The main objective of this thesis, for Galataport project of tourism to Turkey Cruise is to assess the likely future impacts. In this context, firstly the world cruise tourism and then the Mediterranean and Black Sea cruise tourism together with its effects on their economies were mentioned. Later, the Galataport project was examined in detail, interviews were made with experts in their fields using the semi-structured interview method, and the obtained information was evaluated in the conclusion part.
