Nosema disease has caused major economic loses at the worldwide. Many beekeepers losing their colonies every year due to nosema disease and get much less product than normal. In addition to these, many beekeepers try to remove the disease from their colonies using different methods to improve their colonies. Nosema disaese have become a major concern in the beekeeping industry and bekeepers couldn't get enough profit from bee products. There are many studies about nosema disease in the world. Although fumagillin is the only antibiotic approved for control of nosema disease in honey bees, there are different studies to fight with Nosema disease. Most of the countries prohibited using fumagillin. Using fumagillin for a long time also caused the spores resistant to the drug. For these reasons, new control methods have been used. New fighting techniques have also been investigated in many studies. Although the number of studies about nosema disease are limited in Turkey, new and extensive studies are being carried out. The goals are the same although there are many different aspects of these studies in the world and in Turkey. The main purpose is to keep the nosema infection away from the colonies and save the infected colonies with minimal damage.
