Abstract (EN)
Every written text conveys the linguistic understanding of the period it is written. Undeniably, poetic dictionaries and their paraphrasing is of great importance as regards language teaching. Poetic Dictionaries, which function as textual resource, also play a crucial role in passing on the cultural texture. In this study, with reference to the transcripts registered under the name of Nātıkî as Şerh-i Hediyyetü's-Sıbyān, numbered Yz. A 194 in The Library of Turkish Langauage Association (TDK) and numbered 06 Mil Yz. A 8975/1 in The National Library (Millî Kütüphane) adhering to the original text we named this work as Şerh-i Nâtikiyye fî Luġati Hâcibiyye. The manuscript Şerh-i Nâtikiyye fî Luġati Hâcibiyye is analysed in respect of form and content, poetic dictionary and paraphrases are briefly reviewed, the life and works of Dursun Ahmed Nātıkî are studied in detail and the translated text of the original work is included as well. Our aim is to introduce the work Şerh-i Nâtikiyye fî Luġati Hâcibiyye, the paraphrase of a poetic dictionary.
