The relationshi̇p between levels of emotional awareness and international affective pictures system given to valance value

Emotions, mental human life, showing a structure reveals itself with physical and behavioral elements. Emotions, which enriches human life, the color, are referred to as a factor which enables us to deal with life, while inability to control emotions is seen as the cause of the failure of the ability to deal with this (Izard, 1991). Awareness of their feelings of individuals, rather than defining it as only a positive or negative emotions and helps to strengthen their understanding of the importance of experiential feelings and life skills. The purpose of this study, evaluations of the emotional content of the picture with emotional awareness of individuals (valence) and to examine the relationship between arousal levels. In order to examine this relationship, participants (n = 110) International Affective Pictures System of valence levels with figures given by Level of Emotional Awareness selected pictures from the system was evaluated through the analysis of the correlation relationship between the scores obtained from the Questionnaire. SPSS 17.0 software was used to analyze the data. According to the results of the study could not be level with the valence correlation between emotional awareness (p <0.05). However, in terms of gender differentiation, showing awareness of the emotional valence level was observed with a high level of emotional awareness in women. Moreover, a good level of correlation between valence and arousal level in the negative level image content (r = -.70) were observed. International Affective Pictures System of valence for the illustrations of the system may be a result of cultural differences is therefore envisaged the development of this culture-specific emotional picture system.
