The effect of emotional intelligence on career adaptation: A research on Sivas Court staff

In this study, the effect of Emotional Intelligence on Career Adaptability was investigated and the content of this study was supported by the survey study. In the first part, the concept of emotion, its definition and components; the concept, definition, types, theories of intelligence, relationship between intelligence and management; The concept of emotional intelligence, its definition, importance, development process, emotional intelligence models, dimensions and use in business life were examined. In the second part, career concept, definition, scope of features, importance, career stages, career theories, effective factors in career planning, career choice, career process problems, career development; career adaptability, related concepts and dimensions were examined. In the third part, the effect of emotional intelligence on career adaptability is explained. In the fourth chapter, academic studies on the effect of emotional intelligence on career adaptability are discussed. In the fifth chapter, a questionnaire applied to the personnel of Sivas Courthouse was given to test the opinions defended, and the findings related to these were analyzed. In order to measure emotional intelligence, Wong and Law's emotional intelligence scale WLEIS consisting of 16 questions was preferred. In measuring career adaptability, in the study of Savickas and Profeli (2012), a scale called "international career adaptability scale" was used as a result of the collaboration of 18 researchers from 13 countries. In the sixth chapter, the results and recommendations of this study are given.
