Abstract (EN)
This study designed to investigate the effects of individual corrective exercises on posture according to postural evaluations by a physiotherapist. Our study was carried out with the participation of 47 (39 girls, 8 boys) (n = 47) ballet students at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory. Participants were subjected to photo measurement programs twice, including at the beginning of the study and after 8 weeks of personal exercise programs. SAPO postural evaluation software was used as the postural evaluation method. The results were statistically analyzed with SPSS v21 package program. When the measurement parameters whose reference values are specified in the anterior view are compared before and after the applied exercise program; the change in the horizontal alignment of the head (p=0,001), horizontal alignment of the acromions (p=0,001), horizontal alignment of the SIAS (p=0,001), the angle between 2 acromions and 2 SIAS (p=0,001), and horizontal angles of the tubaristas tibia (p=0,001) were found to be statistically significant in a positive way (p<0,05). In posterior view, the change in the horizontal asymmetry of the scapula compared to T3 was found to be statistically significant (p = 0.001) (p <0.05). The change in the vertical alignment angles of the head, whose reference value was specified in the right and left lateral views, was found to be statistically significant in a positive way (p = 0.00) (p <0.05). In the literature, there is no study that measures the effects of corrective exercises on posture with SAPO software. Consequently, this is the first study that objectively and concretely demonstrates the effectiveness of corrective exercises programmed individually by the physiotherapist on posture. According to our results, it was observed that there is a decrease in injury rates and an increase in performance due to the effect of corrective exercises on the posture. Our study will lead future studies on the effectiveness of corrective exercises. Keywords: Posture, corrective exercise, ballet, physiotherapist
