E-logistic applications in e-commerce sector: A case study

The development of technology has facilitated to people and organizations in many areas. One of these areas is e-commerce, which improved with the increasing of internet usage. The companies and people are able to make business even if the distance is far away to each other through e-commerce. Logistic processes are needed like in traditional trade in order to complete trade which is made with e-commerce. The result of logistic processes being affected by technological developments, e-logistic applications have appeared in order to manage these processes easier and saving the time. The usage of e-logistic is compulsory for the companies, which make business in digital platforms. The efficiency of e-logistic applications in e-commerce companies and the reasons of the deficiencies are tried to be determined in this study. In addition, about the order delivery date, storage efficiency, service quality and the advantages of e-logistic for companies also has been examined. On purpose of study, a company has been investigated, which acts in e-commerce market. Using e-logistic, the company purposes cheaper storage costs, accelerating of information flow, providing of the high-level coordination between customers – company.
