Abstract (EN)

Today, technology and technological developments have become a determining factor in every area of the business world. With the acceleration of the digitalization process, e-commerce has become an indispensable element for both businesses and global economies. Especially in countries with a dynamic producer and consumer base like Turkey, one of the most critical factors determining the success of companies is the performance of e-commerce websites. The performance of an e-commerce web site directly affects the customer satisfaction and competitiveness of companies. In this context, it is imperative for companies to constantly update their web sites, improve their performance and quickly adapt to technological developments in order to compete in the e-commerce sector. For this reason, the target point of this study is to evaluate the web site performances of mostly known e-commerce companies in Turkey and to reach a conclusion by analyzing these performances. As a result of the research, the 25 most active e-commerce companies in Turkey were determined and the web site performances of these e-commerce companies were aimed to be analyzed. 9 (nine) criteria were selected for performance evaluation. While the widely used traditional performance measurement methods mostly focus on a certain criterion, Multi-Criteria Decision Making methods provide a more comprehensive analysis. In the evaluation and analysis of the selected criteria, CORASO and MAXC methods were used.
