Families play an important role in their children's lives. However, it is known that families have various expectations about their children's language development. Knowing the expectations of the families of children with speech and language disorders regarding the therapy process by speech and language therapists affects the language development of the child positively. The aim of the study is to understand the expectations and experiences of parents about speech and language therapy. In this direction, the study was modeled with the descriptive method, which is a quantitative research method. 172 parents participated in the study. Data from the participants were collected through a questionnaire. As a result of the research, it was seen that parents expect to be involved in the planning process and intervention process of speech and language therapy and to progress in their children's language development. It was found that these expectations did not change according to the gender, age of the children and the place of therapy they received. However, parents drew attention to the importance of early intervention on their children's lives.
