Preparation of an early childhood privacy education program in line with parents' requirements

Privacy education includes maintaining the necessary distance between individuals in society, protecting personal spaces, and not neglecting private spaces of others. Privacy education must continued gradually and parallel to child's age without missing critical periods in early childhood from birth. Because of need help of children with developmental disabilities (DD), them to enter privacy area of people who provide with services, it is important for DD to know boundaries. This study, content of early childhood privacy education program for parents was created in line with needs of parents with DD or at-risk children with semi-structured interviews and document analysis. goals of privacy education program for parents are for children to become independent and gain self-awareness, thus increasing their social adaptation. According to parents, this education includes are privacy areas, privacy education rules, important processes in privacy education, and protection from abuse. Both for parents and literature, these topics can be conveyed to children by using interaction or behaviorism-based techniques. there are special techniques privacy education in the literature. Parents stated that they are primary responsible person for their children's privacy education and they mentioned people who help and experts. People responsible for privacy education and their assistants must act consistently against similar situations.
