Ebû 'Avane's mustahrec its benefits and the methods he used

In this study, the contributions of Ebû 'Avâne's work named Müstahrec to the science of hadith and the methods used by Ebû 'Avâne in this work were examined. In the first chapter, information about the life of the author Ebû ʻAvâne and el-Câmiu's-Sahih author Müslim is given, the concept of istahrec is explained, and the contributions of istihrac studies to the science of hadith are touched upon. In the second part, the benefits of Ebû 'Avane's work named Müstahrec for Sahîhi Muslim were examined. These benefits; a. obtaining sublime isnad, b. reaching the extras made by the reliable narrators to the hadiths, c. increasing the authenticity of the hadith with the increase in different ways, d. elimination of doubt by narrating some of the hadiths that were narrated traditionally by hearing them, e. completing the missing parts in the texts of the hadiths, f. detection of redundancies in the text or document, g. they are listed as revealing that mevkuf hadiths have been turned into marfū, h. removing the doubts about the narrations of some narrators who are unknown. In the last chapter, the methods used by Ebû 'Avane in his book are examined. These methods were determined as; a. the method used by Ebû 'Avâne in arranging the hadiths and creating the chapters b. including more than one version of the hadiths, c. avoiding repeating hadiths with the same hadiths or texts, d. stating where the hadith was taken from, f. stating the hadiths that are not found in Sahih Muslim. In addition, it has been seen that Abu 'Avâne made criticisms and modifications about some narrators in his work, and sometimes made judgments from hadiths. As a result, it has been seen that Ebû ʻAvâne made a great contribution to both creating a new method in the science of hadith and increasing the level of authenticity of hadiths with his istihrac work on Sahih Muslim.
