Knowledge theory in Ebü'l Berekât en-Nesefî

In this thesis, in which we examine the views of al-Nasafi on the theory of knowledge, firstly, the life of al-Nasafi, his works, his scientific personality and the political and intellectual environment of the period in which he lived are presented in a short and succinct manner. In the second part, how the matter is evaluated in the tradition of kalam is discussed. Thus, by determining which problems the subject was discussed over, the position of al-Nasafî in this tradition was revealed. In addition, in this section, the criticisms of al-Nasafi directed to the definitions of knowledge by the previous theologians and finally the definition of knowledge that he accepted. In the third part, it is discussed whether it is possible to obtain information according to al-Nasafi, if possible, by which sources it could be obtained and to which kinds of information obtained.
