The life of "Abu'l-Fazl Abbas bin Mansur at-Terimi as-Sekseki" end his work named "Al-Burhan fî Ma'rifeti Akaidi Ahli'l-Adyan" and its importance in the history of Islamic sects

The thesis consists of three chapters. The first part is divided into two parts. In the first part, information about the works, the life of As-Sekseki and the general characteristics of the period he lived in is given. In the second part, the formal features of 'al-Burhan', the method of detecting the sub-sects, the main problematic issues encountered in the work and the content of the work are analyzed. In the second chapter, the problems encountered in the work of 'al-Burhan' like reductionist approach to sects, sectarian commitment, problems arising from partiality, confusion of the views of the sects, presenting the sects as derivative formations and anonymous narratives are examined in terms of the Historiography of Islamic Sects In the third chapter, the importance of 'al-Burhan' in terms of the History of Classical Islamic Sects, its place in the tradition of Ashabu'l-Hadith Makalat, the influence of al-Sekseki from his predecessors and his views on faith are examined.
