Abstract (EN)

It can be said that Nihan Kaya is profoundly interested in literature and psychology when you look at her works and education life. Kaya's works can be divided into two groups as fictional and theoretical which consist of five novels, two story books and two theoretical books. So in our introduction part we tried to present the relationship of the literature and psychology that dates back to the ancient eras and in our other parts we tried to evaluate Kaya's fictional characters in her works within the intersection of literature and psychology. We used other researchers' works that touch on the common points of the psychology and literature with the Kaya's works to ground our work. In introduction part we mentioned about ancient period philosophers starting from Plato, Socrates, and Aristotle as they were related to the literature and psychology. Then we mentioned about theoretical findings of Sigmund Freud, Carl Gustav Jung, Alfred Adler, Rollo May as they played an important role for making psychology a discipline of science. Finally we concluded our work by evaluating Kaya's works in general aspects. In the end we added three interviews with the writer to the thesis. Focusing on fictitious works of Nihan Kaya, our study was built on inspection and interpretation methods by referring to Sigmund Freud and his pioneers. In this context, rather than her personal life, the psychological background of the central figures in the works of the author will be dealt with. The handling of the characters suggests that our work will follow a more work-centered path.
