Abstract (EN)

Literary tourism, which is a type of specialinterest tourism, is a destinationthat has developedafter the 18th century and is increasingitspopularitydaybyday. In literary tourism, individuals can satisfytheirliterarycuriosity, have new experiences byexploring new places, see an author or his work in person, or travel to differentparts of the world to learn a culturalbond with the past. As in othertypes of tourism, sustainability of travel is an importantfactor in literary tourism. However, in fact, in order to ensure the sustainability of literary tourism, it is necessary to knowwhatindividuals' motivation to travel. For this purpose, it is aimed to determine the visitor profile of Karacaoğlan Literature Museum, located in Seyhan District of Adana province. The information obtained containsimportantinformationfor the sustainability of literarymuseums, which are centers of attraction in terms of management. Another aim of the study is to present the data obtained to decisionmakers and sectorrepresentatives with some suggestions in order to increase and sustain the number of literarymuseums. Since the study continued as a relational research, a number of questions were asked through a semi-structuredinterviewformulausing qualitative research techniques. The visitor profile of the museumwasrevealedbyconsidering the answersreceivedfrom the participants with an interpretive approach. As a result of the research, it wasseenthat the visitor profile of Karacaoğlan Literature Museum consists of literature, history, culture and heritage tourism enthusiasts. The findings obtained in the study are guiding in terms of ensuringsustainability in literarymuseums and contributing to local economies
