Abstract (EN)

In the first section of this study, absorption jump-factor and jump-ratios have been determined for both theoretically and experimentally by using total mass attenuation coefficients calculating Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb elements being CeC17HO, Pr203, NdO, Sm203, EUCI36H2O, Tb407 compounds and pure Gd, Dy, Ho, Er. Gamma rays being Compton scattering from Al element as secondary target have been used to send on absorber in an ideal transmission geometry. In the second section of the study, same geometry has been used but Nd and Sm compounds have been used as secondary target in this geometry. The rays incoming on Ba and La absorbers are the characteristic x-rays of Nd and Sm elements. Total mass attenuation coefficients, Jump-factor and Jump-ratio have been calculated especially in absorption edge. In the third section of the study, as seen from literature abstract, we want to confirm suspicions concerning with validity of mixture rule in absorption edges. We couldn't compare with obtained results because there isn't any study by other researchers in our literature scanning. So, values given in present study are constitute first experimental data. 2002, 78 pages Keyword: X-ray fluorescence, mass attenuation coefficients, jump-factor, jump-ratio, mixture rule
