Abstract (EN)

Diversity and inclusion in the aviation industry helps these companies increase customer engagement, marketplace reputation, talent acquisition, innovation and ultimately profitability. Diversity and inclusion can therefore contribute to organizational performance and drive value creation through diversity of thought and experience, as employees with different cultures, genders, experiences, expertise and ages can provide different perspectives on how tasks are carried out in the workplace. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the distribution of employees in the aviation industry by age, gender, nationality and work experience provides a diverse environment, whether there are advantages and challenges to diversity in age, gender, culture (power distance, individualism and collectivism) and if so, what are the advantages and challenges. The results obtained show that the distribution of employees according to their age, gender, work experience and nationality will reflect a diverse environment in workplaces and that company managements support diversity in workplaces, that diversity strengthens the results of better decisions by providing different perspectives for different conditions, strengthens innovation by enabling employees to produce innovative products, strengthens cost savings through dedication by providing motivation to reduce operational costs, strengthens a wider talent pool by providing the chance to work with various skills, and strengthens improved reputation by providing trust in the brand. In these respects, the study provides valuable information for aviation organizations.
