Abstract (EN)

Folk songs has a important place in Turkish folk culture. Some folk songs are a kind of poetry where people express their sorrow, joys, traditions and heroes because they are very close to the truth. Its shed light on the ancient times because it is in this context that the writings in the topics of banditry and heroism are included. More often heard in the Aegean Region and especially in the coastal areas, this folk give information about experience of the Turkish people and the experience of the bandits. The purpose of this thesis is to describe the lifestyles of bandits living in the Aegean Region and subject to folk songs. The aim of this thesis is to present the typological characteristics of the people who live in the Aegean Region and who are close to them. It may be a preliminary study in order to determine which type of bandits lived in Turkey in the future and which type of bandits were written in the name of the bandits. 500 Turkish folk songs from the written and electronic sources mentioned in the bibliography from eight provinces in the Aegean Region. Among these folk songs, 73 bandits and heroic folk songs were identified and tried to reveal their typological analysis. Keywords: Aegean Region, folk song, bandit, type of bandit
