Exergy analysis in oblique shock waves

Abstract (EN)

When analyzing shock waves in the flow field, the shock wave deviating from the flow direction at an arbitrary angle is called an oblique shock. These shocks require a component vector analysis of the flow; Doing so allows the flow to be treated as a normal shock in a direction perpendicular to the oblique shock. Oblique shocks mostly occur where the supersonic current turns inward. While the Mach number decreases while passing the oblique shock wave, the current does not go down to the subsonic regime. Exergy; job or the ability to do work. While energy can always be conserved in a process, exergy can always be conserved in reversible processes, while in real processes it is consumed due to irreversibility. Exergy analysis is largely the determination of usable energy analysis. Exergy, usable energy and availability are remarkably similar. Exergy analysis is different from energy analysis of a system. The results of exergy analysis are generally considered to provide a more meaningful and sensitive representation of processes in a system. In this thesis, it will be clarified whether it is possible to control the energy of oblique shock waves in existing systems by performing exergy analysis of oblique shock waves.
