Abstract (EN)

There are basically two rival views in literature on philosophy of education concerning 'values' and their 'transmission': According to one view, education is first and the foremost a process of transmission. The other view, however, sees this so-called transmission role of education as mainly problematic. Here we will firstly claim education to inevitably turn into a transfer of values, but it will also shown here that this presumption does not necessarily lead to collapse of individual autonomy. With this aim, depending on the assumption that an idea of education will necessarily transfer some values; that 'which of the values' are preferable will be scrutinized as a new discussion. The rest of the work will focus on the relations between values and the literature, and it will be discussed that to what extent literature can create a legitimate educational content targeting the transfer of demanded values.
