Abstract (EN)
Due to the working conditions of music teachers, personal expectations from life, anticipation of children's families and some other factors the professional career that students of music teaching department aim at the beginning of their undergraduate education can change at the graduation stage. In this study, the career preferences of 4th grade students of Uludağ University Faculty of Music Education Department are examined. At the same time, factors such as working possibilities in the instrument training process for their goals and conditions of the professional employment, regardless of whether the goals of the students change or not, are respectively described. In the study, it was observed that the students changed their career goals at the end of the training process. According to students, in addition to other factors mentioned above, instrument teachers also had an impact on the determination of their career plans and setting different targets apart from direct objectives of the music education program.
