Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the values, self-leadership characteristics and job satisfaction levels of the managers in the education sector. In this context, a research was conducted on the administrators working in public and private schools in Istanbul. In the first part of the study, the aim, importance and limitations of the study were determined. In the second part, the theoretical dimension of the study is examined in detail. In this context, the concept of value and value theories as sub-components of this concept, the concepts of value-ethics-ethics, the values sought in managers are examined. In the following part of the study, the concept of self-leadership is discussed and constructive thinking model strategies, behavior-oriented strategies and natural reward strategies are examined in detail. In the last part of the theoretical examination, job satisfaction is emphasized, the factors affecting job satisfaction and job satisfaction are measured. In the last part of the study, a field study was conducted on school administrators. According to this research data, the most common values of school principals are "equality" and "justice" the most important personal characteristics are focusing on work, and overall job satisfaction, but dissatisfaction with financial gain.
