School organizational climate of managers with graduate education in educational management

This research aims to examine in detail, based on teacher opinions, how the management practice implemented in schools led by administrators with postgraduate education in the field of educational management is reflected in organizational climate dimensions such as institutional relations, school culture, teaching and learning processes, security measures and environmental regulations. In the study, case study design, one of the qualitative research approaches, was used. Criterion sampling method was used to determine the study group. The participant group of the study consists of 20 teachers working in public primary education institutions in Kepez and Muratpaşa districts of Antalya province in the 2023-2024 academic year, where administrators with postgraduate education in educational administration work. A semi-structured interview form consisting of 5 open-ended questions prepared by the researcher and observations made by the researcher were used as data collection tools. Data obtained from individual face-to-face interviews were analyzed through descriptive and content analysis. The results of the analysis show that the positive communication established with the stakeholders, the effective relations maintained, the security measures taken, the importance given to cultural values, environmental regulations and strategic initiatives made in the teaching-learning processes create a positive atmosphere in the institutions where administrators with postgraduate education work. These findings provide important clues for improving management practice in educational institutions and improving school environments. The positive effects of management practice applied in schools led by administrators with graduate degrees on the organizational climate constitute an important basis for future research in the field of educational management.
