Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of education in general and of religious education in particular is to enable to raise the highly qualified generations that will ensure the continuation of social and cultural wealth shaped by all kinds of content and details regarding belief, thought, morality, value and identity bearing the codes of a collective consciousness. Nowadays, where education problems have gained a global dimension, people and states have sought a more effective and comprehensive model and approach in order to find and implement a common solution to the issue. As a result, society and nations realizing that education is the most important task in raising people who are equipped and capable to overcome global problems have started to comprehend that it is more correct and important to raise people with virtue who adopt universal humanitarian principles and values, such as love, respect, compassion, mercy, self-awareness and a sense of social justice and who have a sense of responsibility towards nature, earth and the universe instead of raising monotonous individuals based on economic efficiency as foreseen by modern education. The assumption of the thesis is based on the claim that the holistic approach, which has all the concise and qualitative principles and methods that provide global benefit, can achieve the goals and expectations of both education and religious education as an educational model that addresses issues and events in the context of wholeness and integrity. Because holistic education evaluates the child in all dimensions including physical, emotional, social, psychological, intellectual, aesthetic, moral and spiritual. The thesis consists of four parts. In the first part, the nature of holism, in the second part the holistic approach in education, in the third part, the suitability of the holistic approach to religious education in the context of subject, method and target are discussed. In the last section, it is emphasized that holistic education is the most accurate model capable of meeting all the emerging expectations in religious education.
