Productivity in education: Examining the factors affecting teachers work life

The aim of this study is to examine the interaction between teachers' quality of life and job satisfaction factors, to investigate the relationships among these variables, and to develop recommendations that may contribute to enhancing teachers' productivity and well-being in the workplace. In this study, the relational survey model, a quantitative research method, was employed. The participants were selected through criterion sampling, and the total number of participants is 376. As data collection tools, a demographic information form developed by the researcher, the SF-36 Quality of Life Scale adapted into Turkish by Koçyiğit et al. (1999), and the Job Satisfaction Scale adapted by Çalışkan and Köroğlu (2023) were used. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 23 software. The normality of the data distribution was assessed based on the Kolmogorov-Smirnov values. Non-parametric tests were employed for the data analysis. The reliability of the scales was tested using the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, which evaluates internal consistency. As a result of the study, significant differences were observed in the sub-dimensions of quality of life and job satisfaction levels in terms of the variables examined. Although a significant relationship was found between the two scales, it was identified as positive and low in strength.
