Abstract (EN)
This study, which includes the life and thoughts of the Ecofeminist Activist Vandana Shiva, begins with the life story of Vandana Shiva. The impact on the thoughts of her life began in India, inspired by local activist notably Gandi one-to-one witnessing the process of ecological imperialist destruction in India, is discussed in this chapter. In fact, Shiva's life has a substantial impact on evolution of Shiva's activist ideas. In another part of the study, thereby the social implications as a result of preventing living creatures to reach the common use of water which is a vital resource dominated by the process of ecological imperialism, Shiva's determination on the water domination, the right of the activist to fight against water, and also the solution proposals are included. In addition, the agricultural food production process, one of the most important arguments of the ecological imperialist process, has been mentioned; and the production process called 'modern agricultural production methods' which imposes the use of biotechnology related to the production of agricultural food has been evaluated. Shiva's advices on the process of agri-food production through the defense of biodiversity have been taken against management and domination of the developing monoculture mind in the process of food production; furthermore, the food rights struggle was evaluated. Climate change which is the most negative result of the production and consumption mechanism of the ecological imperialist process for the ecosystem, and Shiva's struggle for climate justice are another main issues of the study. The predictable global negative results of climate change have been evaluated, and the globalization of ecological problems has been emphasized in this chapter once again. The concept of the Earth Democracy, which is Shiva's solution to the exploitation, oppression and oppressive form of the process of ecological imperialism, constitutes the final theme of the study. In this chapter, the totalitarian social reflections of the ecosystem under domination are discussed; and in this context, the details of the Earth Democracy, which is a new model of society to establish the use of common resources, self-management, self-control, participatory democracy, food security, gender equality, peace, right to life and freedom.
