Abstract (EN)

The ecological crisis, which has been proven through some pioneering scientific studies since the 1960s and then became a productive intellectual debate in the 1970s, is the subject of heated discussions that require the restructuring of today's political thought. Various intellectual approaches, which we can consider within the Marxist tradition, are in an effort to constract a new political discourse, that takes into account the urgency of the ecological crisis, and to develop a conceptual vocabulary accordingly. One of these approaches, ecosocialism, emerges as one of the most important alternatives, with regard to overcoming the ecological crisis and reorganizing society. In this study, we will begin by bringing the basic concepts of political ecology to discussion and attempt to identify the historical roots of the ecological crisis on this conceptual basis. Finally, we will examine the social project proposed by ecosocialism as an alternative solution in overcoming the ecological crisis, by using the main references of the field.
