Abstract (EN)
In this study; power coefficients of wind turbines are analysed. In other words, main factors that effect energy efficiency are examined. The effects of axial and tangential flow induction factor values that show the rate of change in wind velocity are examined for rotor torque.Proper design and selection of airfoils for wind turbines effects axial and tangential induction factors. As a result, these values are evaluated as critical factors for energy efficiency of wind turbine rotors.For a model wind turbine, by using known power coefficient values, average values of axial and tangential flow induction factors are obtained with the assumption of minimum energy loss for wind turbine. With the help of these values, rotor torque is calculated for some chosen tip-speed ratios.
