The book "Al-Kāfi", authored by Abu Al-Fadl Muhammad Ibn Muhammad Ibn Ahmad Al-Marwazi, (the martyr judge) who died in the year of 334 AH, is an esteemed book of the Hanafi jurisprudential books. It contains the essence of Hanafi (Fiqh) jurisprudence conveyed in his most trusted works, known as "Books of Zahirü'r Rivaye," compiled by Imam Muhammad Ibn Al-Hasan AlShaybani in the (Fiqh) jurisprudence of the people of Iraq, including the book "Al-Usul" or "Al-Mabsut" and other comprehensive works. It was transmitted through trust authentic channels, and the martyr judge devoted himself to summarizing it, collecting its principles, and avoiding repetition to facilitate its study and memorization. And due to this, scholars of the Hanafi school acknowledged its significant position, relying on it for transmission and narration, and using it for understanding and insight. One of these scholars is Imam AlSarakhsi who provided explanations of it in his book "Al-Mabsut". This is an academic study on extracting and verifying a part of it.After studying and verifying a part of the book, I found it as a concise summary of Muhammad Ibn Al-Hasan Al-Shaybani's book "Al-Usul," which comprises the "Books of Zahirü'r Rivaye" relied upon by the scholars of the Hanafi school. The author's approach in this summary was to refine and simplify issues with careful selections and clear, concise expressions .Although it is a summary of "Al-Usul," it includes additions, corrections, and selections by the author, holding a high position among the books of the Hanafi school. Furthermore, Imam al-Sarakhsi explained it in his famous work "Al-Mabsut." The research study focused on the Book of Nika'h (Book of Marriage), and for its verification, I relied on four good handwritten copies cross-referencing them. I also provided an academic introduction detailing the author's biography, the significance of the book, the reasons for choosing the topic, the methodology of verification, and other related aspects.
