The place of Nasiruddin es-Samarkandi in the science of fiqh within the framework of his work named "el-Multekat fi'l-fetava'l-Hanefiyye"

The contribution of the jurists who lived in the Transoxiana region in the development of the Hanafi sect is fairly big. Especially the city Samarkand, the most developed city of the region, has a special place in this matter. Dozens of jurists who grew up in the lands of this city, which led to the introduction of terms such as "Thus said the scholars of Samarkand" and "Ahl al Fatwa Samarkand" in the works of fiqh, reached the peak of fame. In this research the place of Ebû'l-Kasım Nâsırüddin Muhammed b. Yusuf al-Samarkand will be examined in the exant of his contributions to fiqh. This research, which was carried out within the framework of el-Mültekat fi'l-fetâva'l-Hanefiyye, consists of an introduction and two parts. In the first part, information is given about the importance of the Samarkand fiqh school in the development of the Hanafi sect, the jurists who grew up in the region, the life, scholarly personality and works of Nâsırüddîn es-Samarkand. In the second chapter, which starts with the introduction of el-Mültekat fi'l-fetava'l-Hanefiyye, the content of the work, the evidences for the fiqh method used, the fiqh views of Nâsırüddîn es-Semerkandî and the fiqh terms mentioned by the scholar, the methodology fiqh and other methodological views are examined and the sources of the work are introduced. The main purpose of the research is to draw the attention of the Turkish world to the fact that a great Hanafi school of fiqh was established in Samarkand in the middle centuries and has its own place in the Islamic world.
