Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study; Elazığ-Malatya Separation Kuşsarayı Provincial Road to increase the current standard, traffic flow and safety to increase the flow of work, to determine the engineering properties of the road passes, to determine the critical parts in terms of stability, to determine the quarries where the materials needed to provide construction work. It covers engineering applications to be applied in the construction stages, determined in the field, laboratories and technical office studies on the maps scaled 1/1000 plan and profile, in the design stage regarding the construction of (Elazığ-Malatya ) intersection-Kuşsarayı highway chainage Km: 0+000-14+839,374 , planed by General Directorate of Highways (GDH) General geology in the working area has been surveyed. Soil classification has been defined , the capable of the excavation has been designated, the critical section has been described along the ROW studying on the ROW. Studying on the laboratory and technical office, the slope of cut and fill , the problems for slope stability has been designated and the effectiveness'of the excavation material for using on the fill section has been evaluated. 16 piece of critical splitting which is greater than hmax.18m and 17 piece of critical riprap section which is greater than hmax.8 was determined throughout the working area. Stability and kinematic analyzes were performed to determine splitting and riprap chamfers sensitivities on these sections. 14 piece of searching hole was opened on the Splitting and riprap sections in the working area and using of the splitting materials on the riprap was determined using of the splitting materials on the riprap was determined through opening on the splitting and riprap sections and doing laboratory experiments in the working area. Geological and geotechnical problems to be encountered in the construction stage has been defined with knowledge's reached the result of this study. The necessary materials for the construction, and its suitility assessment, and the location where to be obtained has been appraised.
