Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study to investigate the relationship between the skin incision to uterine incision, skin incision to delivery time, and uterine incision to delivery time and Apgar scores of newborn delivered by caserean section under spinal anesthesia. Records of the two hundred three ASA I or ASA II pregnant women scheduled to undergo caserean section under spinal anesthesia in Gazi University Medicine Faculty Anesthesiology and Reanimation Department during one-year period were evaluated retrospectively.Demographic properties of parturients and newborns (age, weight, body mass index, gravidity, parity, gestasyonel week), indication for caserean section, delivery times (skin incision and uterine incision time to delivery and cord clamping time), Apgar scores at 1 and 5 th minutes, umbilical artery and vein blood gas analysis (UApH, UAO2, UACO2, UVpH, UVCO2 and UVO2) and duration of anesthesia and surgery were documented.The prolongation of delivery times from onset of anesthesia until newborn delivery resulted in acidosis and reduced Apgar score at 1 minute slightly but it did not affect Apgar score at 5 minute.Key words: Caserean, spinal anesthesia, newborn, Apgar score
