Abstract (EN)

Electromagneticfields (EMF); electronic devices that we use constantly in dailylife; Itappearsas a radiofrequency magnetic field originating from communication Technologies such as mobile phones and computers, or a very low frequency magnetic field originating from powerlines such as high voltage transmission and power plants. The positive a spects of electronic devices such as convenience, time and human resource savings and the benefits they add to education have made these devices not a choice but a necessity. The aim of this study; To determine the thoughts of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and engineering students about the health effects of EMA, to raise awareness, and to examine the behaviors they perform in line with their currentt houghts and awareness. The universe of the descriptive study consists of engineers registered in Trabzon Chamber of Electrical-ElectronicsEngineers (EMO) and Black Sea Technical University Electrical-Electronics engineering students. A total of 500 people were included in thestudy. In the study, it was determined that the awareness of the participants about the use of technological devices washigh. While the participants thought that EMA scould have a health impact, there was a lack of information about what kind of effects they might have. Although their a wareness of deviceuse is high and their thought sare mostly in favor of the health effects of EMAs, there are deficiencies in reflecting this situation on their behaviors. In this direction, trainings and curriculum changes for students are recommende despecially for health effects and precautions to be taken.
