Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, smart grids are examined, sample smart grid architecture is mentioned, the areas where smart grids are fed, the differences between smart grids and classical grids are shown, smart grid components and smart grid concepts, micro grid concept and the place of renewable energy sources in smart grid technology are tried to be explained. In the continuation of the thesis, the types of electric vehicles from the past and the point where electric vehicle technology has come today are shown. Battery, electric motor, power systems and types of electric vehicle charging stations, which are electric vehicle components, are shown, the development of battery technology is included, and its integration with V2G technology and smart networks is explained. In the thesis study, the methods used in electric load estimation are also included and the popular artificial intelligence-based load estimation models, recurrent neural networks and the variety are mentioned. In the last part of the thesis, the "CYME" program of the existing network model was modeled in the pilot region determined in Bursa. The data of the four transformers in the region were examined in detail and the load situation was tried to be explained with graphics. If the market share of electric vehicles is %5, %10 and 20%, the loads that may occur in the transformers are remodeled by adding the sample electric vehicle power values on the model and the outputs are shown. In the event that the number of electric vehicles increases by 5%, the electrical energy demand that may occur in the short and medium term has been tried to be estimated with the recurrent neural network model. In addition, in this thesis, charging station energy management software has been developed to integrate smart grids and electric vehicles. When the results obtained as a result of the study are evaluated, it is known that the market share of electric vehicles among existing vehicles is increasing day by day. It is foreseen that electric vehicles will be a part of smart grids in the future, therefore, it is necessary to start transforming existing grids into smart grid technology in order to ensure that the energy flow of the existing grids is of high quality, sustainable, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. It will be ensured that the resources to be spent for the transition to smart grid technology, the continuity of the energy demand in the future, the easy compatibility of renewable energy sources with the grids, and the more reliable integrating of electric vehicles into the system, the better management of the extra loads that electric vehicles will bring to the grid, and the prevention of greater damages.
