Abstract (EN)

In the general context of textile fibers, the term `nano? describes the diameter of a single fiber. Some regards fibers with less than one micron diameter as nanofibers, whereas some others accept the diameter of a nanofiber as less than 0,3 micron. As of today, there is no readily available tecnology which spins a fibre with less than one micron. This Project will treat a fiber with ?less than one micron? diameter as nanofiber and will investigate the ?electrospinning? technique as the most recent technology. In this study nanofiber production technology by means of electrospinning method was stuied and fiber morfology and method was investigated. In the experimental studies, effect of system parameters on the fiber morfology in electrospinning method are; the applied voltage, the distance between collector and feeding unıt and the speed of flow.In conclusion, increasing voltage causes irregular flow rates so roughness and high diameter ranges were observed on nanofibers produced. A decrease in fiber diameter was obtained by increasing the distance between collector and feeding unit.
