Abstract (EN)

As a result of the increase in the world population and increasing industrialization, climatic conditions are changing, precipitation decreases and clean water resources are depleted.In addition to conserving resources, reusing used and polluted water is of great importance in order to ensure the continuity of nature. In the literature study, it was seen that electrochemical treatment, which is an advanced oxidation process, provides high efficiency in the treatment of water contaminated with pesticides. In this study, a pesticide whose active ingredient is emamectin benzoate, which prevents the nerve impulses of the larvae and destroys the larvae, was removed from the wastewater by electrochemical method.Experimental variables were investigated to ensure optimum conditions and it was observed that the COD max removal efficiency was 83% with the addition of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and sodium sulphate (Na2SO4). It is predicted that the technic is more appropriate than traditional wastewater treatment methods in terms of cost, time and efficiency.
