Abstract (EN)

E-commerce is a phenomenon that allows more useful use of resources in macro and micro-economic units in developing countries. Developing countries are able to use the benefits of e-commerce, support e-commerce with incentives and the establishment of legal basis. Developed countries have made more progress in terms of e-commerce than developing countries. This study examines the positive and negative effects of electronic commerce on the economy. The study consists of three parts. In the first chapter, e-commerce concept, historical development and tools are explained. In the second part, the fields of activity of e-commerce and its legal framework were transferred. The last chapter which one is third chapter, the positive and negative effects of e-commerce on the economy are expressed. In addition to decreasing informal economy and increasing competitiveness in the economy, e-commerce contributes to the development of regional development, education and social solidarity, which will bring dynamism and create new employment areas to the related sectors thanks to new business lines and specialties.
