Abstract (EN)

The aims of this study were1- to develop a scale for assessing sports-specific obsessive behaviors, 2- to examine the levels of obbesive behavior of elite wrestlers in terms of the some demographics İn the study, ageneral screening model for quantitative research was applied. Our research consists of 2 stages. While the universe of the 1st stage consists of athletes who do professional sports in Turkey, 2. The universe of stage consists of wrestlers at the elite level. (The research was carried out in four stages with aworking group consisting of 160, explanatory factor analysis (EFA)n=588, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) n=588, and in the final stage, the relationship between sports-specific obsessive behaviors of elite wrestlers and other traits was analysed. n=1190). The relevant literature was searched to create the questions items in the scale. Expert opinion was obtained for the scale question items and the question items were revised again according items were revised again according to their feedback. Later, a pilot study of the research was carried out. As a result of the results of the pilot study and the expert opinions again, the scale was made ready for implementation. Then, EFA and CFA were applied for construct validity. Teh suitability of the sample size was determined by the KMO (0.790) test and whether the data showed a multivariate normal distribution was determined by the Bartlett sphericality test. According to the results of explanatory factor analysis, a structure with 22 items and 5 factors ( Behavior and Moment, Religion, Luck, Dress and Duration ) was found. In addition, the total announced variance value of the scale was calculated as 55.63%. in the findings obtained in teh confirmatory factor analysis, X2/df: 3.40, GFI: 0.90, CFI 0.96, NFI 0.91, RFI 0.95 and PGFI 0.88 compliance values were determined. İn addition, it was concluded that AVE nad CR values were acceptable for convergent validity. When Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficients were examined, Behavior and Movement factor was calculated as 0.86, Religious factor as 0.74, Chance factor as 0.83, Cclothing factor as 0.65, Duration factor as 0.60 and as sports-specific absessive behavior scale as 0.86. then, the scale was applied to elite wrestlers and statistics were made in the light of their demographic information. İn the statistical analysis of this study, SPSS 21.V. and LİSREL 8,8 statistical package program were used. As a result, the '' Sport-specific obsessive behavior scale '' was found to have u usable structure, and it was understood that there were significant differences in the age and sports age variables of elite wrestlers, and in general, alite wrestlers were found to hava an obsessive attitude.
