Abstract (EN)

Epideminological researches stated that there is a compact relation between a diet rich in fruits and vegatables and diseases, in particular cancer and cardiovascular abnormalities. In plant-based diet main substances which make healthy cells keep living are phytochemicals and bioactive contents of vegatables and fruits. The most of all are ellagic acid specially in dark fruits as berries and flavanoids as anthocyanin, catechin, guercetin and camphenylol. These compounds arrest strong potent of antioxidant function. Antioxidants inhibiting LDL-cholesterol oxidation decrasase the risk of cardiovascular diseases and thrombosis. In addition, it is staded that these compounds inhibiting COX (cyclooxxgenase) enzyme systems in vitro, interupt the onset and pogression of the carcinogenesis andprevent tumor cell proliferation. Since time immemorial, it is known that there is a relation between nutrition and diseases. In thepresent on believe that food play big rol on health. It is observed that the number of researches on apoptotic and biochemical effects of ellagic acid on C6 glioma cell present study too low. To this respect, we planned to research cytotoxic and apoptotic effects of ellagic acid, initially on cell proliferation, fine structural differentiation of cells, organel structures and on whole cells.
