Cihan Emel Demiryürek and her Turkish folk literature studies

Folklore that examines the items which have been created, collected, experienced and transferred by mankind from the past up to the present is an extensive scientific discipline. Everything about human can be the subject of this study. The topics of this research are Cihan Emel DEMİRYÜREK and her folk literature studies. Cihan Emel DEMİRYÜREK who lives in Aksaray /Ortaköy is a volunteer folklore researcher. She made compilation around Ortaköy over many years. The aim of this study is to record and examine the folklore items that were compiled by her and to gain her into the literature. Document review method was used in this study. Cihan Emel DEMİRYÜREK recorded her audio recorded compilation into notebooks by deciphering. Primarily these materials were examined and classified. Then other studies related to the region and a printed book of Cihan Emel DEMİRYÜREK were examined. After reviewing documents, datas were tagged and classified. While examining the classified materials, relevant literature was used. Also these items are in findings section as a text. With this study, it is seen that the region is rich in folklore and Cihan Emel DEMİRYÜREK recorded a lot of folkloric items belong to this region. These materials were also examined in terms of shape and type and ıt was seen that the materials have a significant wealth in terms of shape and type.
