Folklore of town of Emet

The root of ethnology relies on studying the traditional structures of Turkish culture, period of change of these structures and their role and effect in culture and determining and analyzing the folklore products disappearing due to the results of technological changes. This study is about the folklore elements of town of Emet of city of Kütahya. Anonymous folklore products, customs and traditions and the cultural structure of the area are studied. Review (Collation), which has an important place in the development of ethnology, constitutes the method of this study. This review (collation) study tries to reveal and evaluate the traditional structure of the town. The main objective of the study is to compile, record and pass various cultural values of the town, which has started to lose its traditional structure in the face of rapidly developing technology, to future generations before they vanish completely.
