Abstract (EN)
When the thirty-seven stories, which are mentioned in this study, of Emirhan Yeniki, one of the important names of modern Tatar storytelling, are examined, it is seen that the author's autobiography is at the center of the stories. In his stories he fictionalized with the expression I, his immediate surroundings and places of living that witnessed his childhood, youth and maturity are presented with descriptions. The writer, who became known in the literary world with his stories Bala (1941), Ana hem Kız (1942), Bir gine Segetke (1944), Yalgız Kaz (1944), Mek Çeçegi (1944), Kunakçıl Duşman (1945) and İkinci Künni, written during the Second World War which he participated as a soldier, emphasizes the sacredness and value of life rather than the cold face of death. In his post-war stories, political and social themes are gradually being replaced by individual themes. Psychological analysis that he did to discover the individual's inner world is seen in Yalgızlık (1957), Şayaru (1959) and Bir Süz (1970) stories. Themes such as loneliness, love, separation and betrayal are presented through women who are the main characters. In the political range that began with Tsarist Russia and continued with the Soviet Union, all the events the Tatar Turks experienced are given in detail in his stories. The attempt to force Christianization of the Tatar Turks, the collapse of Tsarism, the October 1917 revolution, the process of kolkhozitation and sovhozitation are discussed as a problem in Kurenhafiz (1964) ve Meçit Cılıy (1967). In this study, the stories of Emirhan Yeniki are discussed in the light of techniques such as fiction, content, time, place, narrator and point of view, characters, language and expression, and Emirhan Yeniki's position in modern Tatar storytelling is tried to be determined.
