Abstract (EN)

The background of this research is the low level of regional local income and social welfare and the in-height poverty level in the Bondowoso district, which is consistently below the average for East Java Province, Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to analyze the dynamics of regional local income growth, social welfare, and poverty, find out the causal factors, and explore the contribution of local original income to social welfare and poverty, as well as analyze Bondowoso district Government programs to increase local original income and poverty. social welfare, and reducing poverty levels in the Bondowoso district. The method used in this research is a qualitative case study conducted in Bondowoso Regency with participants who were selected deliberately and whose backgrounds were by the characteristics of the research problem. This research generated data through observation and semi-structured interviews with Bondowoso Regency Government officials, MSME actors, and several Bondowoso Regency residents. The analysis technique in this research uses NVIVO 15 tools or software, from data coding to visualization of the research findings. Based on data and analysis, it was found that in the dynamics of growth of local original income, social welfare, and poverty, several factors dominate the causes of low regional local income and social welfare and high poverty, and how local original income contributes to social welfare and poverty, as well as several programs implemented the government is to increase local revenue and social welfare and reduce poverty in the Bondowoso district.
